The Northern Tuli Game Reserve, tucked away in Botswana’s northeastern Tuli Block, spans around 720 square kilometers of private land. Located at the easternmost tip of Botswana, it borders Zimbabwe to the north and South Africa to the south, with the Limpopo River on the South African side and the Shashe River on the Zimbabwean side. The lack of fences in this border area creates a perfect environment for wildlife to roam freely.

Within the Northern Tuli Game Reserve, you’ll find a collection of private conservancies, including Mashatu and Tuli, managed by conservation associations of individual landowners. It’s one of the largest private reserves in southern Africa.

The numerous rivers flowing into the Limpopo River create a lush habitat for wildlife, making it famous for sightings of large mammals like elephants and giraffes, as well as predators like lions and leopards.

While it may initially seem similar to destinations like Chobe National Park or the Okavango Delta, Northern Tuli Game Reserve has its own unique characteristics.

Firstly, its topography makes it stand out. Unlike the generally flat terrain of Botswana, this region features numerous hills, especially in the Tuli area. This offers a safari experience amidst stunning rocky landscapes, where you can encounter animals adapted to such terrain, like klipspringers.
